"To the most influential instructor AKA "big poppa" we miss u"
I am deeply saddened to hear of such news and my condolences goes out to the great family and friends he cared and loved so much. I personaly new Sgt. major fisher he was my JROTC instructor from 1996-2000. He led not only myself but others who were involved in the program to become better citizens in the us and in the local community. He was like a father figure to me we had many conversations and i had the privelege of spending it at his house one evening at a get together were he invited me and several of his cadets to come enjoy some quality time. He was a family man a romodel and a person the words cannot describe you would just have to talk to him once and he will lead you and advise you with his tremendous knowledge and perserverance. I am shocked to hear of this news i am currently a naval veteran and in the active reserves and from one veteran to another i salute the most honorable man that has influenced my heart myself and my life. TO ALL WHO EVER GET THE CHANCE TO READ THIS AND HAVE BEEN IN THE ROTC PROGRAM, I SPEAK ON BEHALF OF MY GRADUATING CLASS AND OTHERS
WHO HAVE GONE BEFORE ME LET US REMEMBER A SOLDIER A LEADER A FATHER AND A PERSON WHO WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.. I LOVE YOU SGT. MAJOR THANK YOU FOR SHOWING ME AND HELPING ME THROUGH OUT MY YEARS...YOU WERE THE BEST...AND YOU WILL BE MISSED.
P.S. JROTC CADET LTC. E. DEJESUS CLASS OF 2000.
ROTC/Fisher How to contact KIMBALL
I have printed out the comments and I am going to send them to SGM Fisher's Family. If anyone wants the info to get in contact with LTC Jeffrey Kimball, let me know. I have his home address and have heard from him recently. email me
Apparently there are plans for an ROTC reunion/anniversery party in Feb. 2009- 15 years of JROTC at MHS. He told me it will be either Sat, Feb 14th or the 28th at the VFW on River Street in Methuen. Even if you want to be contacted about the reunion only send me an email I will forward it to his home address.
He seems to be doing well, he signed a card to me - LTC Kimball and under that "Every day is a Saturday".
I am sure some sort of memorial to SGM Fisher will be done at this event.
