Depending on how many people plan to attend the Brewery Exchange in Lowell might be a fun place. If it was at a hall with a dinner, comedian, and a DJ or band, that might be fun.

Amy (Boucher) Genest and I are trying to work on this together.

If any of you have any locations you think would be good candidates for this type of activity, post them up please.

There are several really great function places in the area to host a reunion. Here's a few local ideas:

Promises to Keep, Wyndham, NH
DiBurro's, Haverhill, MA
Wyndham Hotel (Formerly the Marriot, Where we had prom. :wink: )
Andover Country Club
Harris' Pelham Inn

I can't think of anything else off the top of my head. If you need any help planning, please let me know. I love to plan parties. :D

I had another thought. :idea: There's a place called the Stevens Estate in North Andover, MA. You should really check this place out. I toured the place when I was planning a baby shower for my sister Ellen (class of 1996) last year. IT was too big for her shower, but might be just what you're looking for in regards to the reunion. From what I recall, it was pretty affordable. Their catering staff was willing to work out a menu to fit the budget and when you rent the place, you get the whole mansion, not just the main function room. so it would be great for mingling (Like a giant house party) I think they even have a pool an outdoor volleyball court...which probably wouldn't be a good idea if you're still looking at November, but you never know with this crowd. :wink: :lol: At any rate, here's their website http://www.stevensestate.com/facilities.html[/url]

ooooh...the high school would not be a great feeling for me...I'd much rather have it at a function hall...

I had my wedding at Faro Gardens in Hampton, and that place was great. Just a thought.

School would be good in my opinion. How come in all the movies when you see a high school reunion it's at the high school gym? OK, not in Romy & Michelle's but every other one.

Best one I've ever seen was Gross Point Blank. Look, all I'm saying is that if we DO have it at the shcool I GET TO BE THE ONE TO STAB SOMEBODY IN THE THROAT WITH A PEN AND HOOK UP IN THE NURSE'S OFFICE!

I don't know why everyone is so willing to shell out huge bucks to have a reunion in some fancy function hall. It's not that I can't afford it, it's just that no matter where we go it's going to be the same thing.

Oh try to deny the fact that afterwards everyone will end up at the Claddagh getting trashed - I dare you.

I don't remember that no alcohol rule ever stopping some people while we were there!

What?! There was ALCOHOL at MHS!?!? I am SHOCKED! Next thing you'll tell me is that people SMOKED there!

Although if anyone was trashed in school, I never knew it. Soooo naive then.... I was one of those girls that almost got beat up for not announcing "it's okay!" before entering the smoker's bathroom on the bottom floor...the one that was always open. I didn't know!

There's also Pat's Beef House in Methuen and Germano's in Tewksbury. The Stephen's Estate is very nice, my best friend's wedding was held there.

Okay, I have another idea...kind of a hike. I had my rehearsal dinner at Angelica's in Middleton. It is near Richardson's icecream and driving range and after Merrimack College on 114. The rooms are pretty large and the food is great. Good luck! Amy

Location isn't important. Neither is cost. Now alcohol...let's not ignore the importance there. If for no other reason than this; with all the strolling down memory lane, I'm sure some of us will have parts we'll need to forget. ;-)

Do you have an idea on the date you're looking at for the reunion? I know most fall the weekend after Thanksgiving, is that what you were thinking of? Plus...I'm wondering if it will fall on my b-day or not... :twisted:

Ok Miguel. It's been a few weeks now and inquiring minds STILL want to know. When and where will the Class of 95 Reunion be held? As the end of the year approaches it becomes more and more difficult to plan around busy work, home, and family commitments so lots of advanced notice is needed.
Should we wait for the letter from Amy Genest? Or will you be posting this information in this forum sometime soon.

Tim, that's the million dollar question. It's supposed be next month. That's what we were told. A little short notice to book a flight at a reasonable price I know but...

Maybe I will go to our other reunion 3 days prior. You know, the one at the Claddagh the night before Thanksgiving.

The night before Thanksgiving everyone goes to the Claddagh it seams. It's sort of like a reunion. One where people pretend they don't recognize you or are still stuck up and/or better than you. And being that cool they don't have to say hello or any of that.

Not everyone is like that, only people who are bitter I would assume. I'm sure people can relate. Unless they were #1 in high school and everyone who kissed their ass 10 years ago still does it now.

(and no this is not a zing or rant, just an observation that I'm sure alot of people have made other than me)

I just have to say that I am personally PSYCHED that the reunion is at Promises to Keep, since I live VERY close by in Derry. It'll make it that much easier to attend, woohoo!
