:? So I'm a little behind schedule but still plan on getting us together. If you would like to help in organizing our 10 year reunion send me an email. Our first challenge is to get in touch with our fellow classmates, and since I only have the Methuen High roster that was given to me in 1994 Iââ¬â¢m thinking it wonââ¬â¢t give us much success. Thank you for your help. Suzan Beauregard and myself and possibly one other are working on this (10 year reunion), as soon as we have more updated info about the reunion we will post here. Well, I just got married (for the second time) to a wonderful man, who will be adopting my 8 year old daughter soon! I am working for Little Sprouts Child Enrichment Center at the NECC campus in Haverhill. I have been throwing the idea of going back to school for nursing around. I started back in '99 but things came up and I never finished.
Well it is nice to be able to keep in contact with MHS alumni's. Thanks for responding to my post!

Ok, we need to get the ball rolling...X that...flying if this is going to happen.
Some ideas I've talked to Nikki about are doing a Halloween party for a theme, or a VH1 style I LOVE THE 90S theme.
For a place, well it is pretty late in this year to get picky, you might get lucky. In either case, you might consider having it at the high school gym or cafeteria.
Talk about memories.
Who knows, maybe they could arrange for the same tables and chairs to be there.

I am sure that would be relatively cheap, but then there is catering....what are the chances you could get the lunch ladies to cater?

Hello all,
I was just going through the prior posts and I saw that someone suggested that we do the reunion at the school. Just a little note there is no alcohol comsumption on school property, that which we should know from going there. I planned a 30th B-day party at the american legion and it was cheap so we can look into a place like that so we can get this thing going and still save on the price. Again if help is needed let me know.

We called the school to get a list and they said they would see what they can do. They also said that they are holding a class ring from somebody from our class, so if you are missing your class ring you might want to give the scool a call.

OK, I know the reunion topic has been going around and the question as to whether or not we were having one. I wanted to bounce this idea in your direction and let me know your thoughts.
Due to our $ situation that was left in our class funds we don't have allot of cash to subsidize the tickets. The bottom line is, whatever the cost is would end up having to be incorporated into the ticket price. That could get pricey depending on where we held the reunion. The high school cafateria was an idea but unfortunately there would be no alcohol allowed on the highschool premise. So the other idea that was mentioned was having it held at an ELKS club or at a Knights of Columbus. Now I know those aren't glamorous places but I think it would do the thing and would save allot of cash. I've asked a few people what they thought about it and although they think having it an Elks is not so great they also don't think paying $70-90 a ticket was better. I'm going to call today and see what's available and the prices. I personally think that if the Elks club, next to the Vocational School in Lawrence, is available that it would be a good location with plenty of parking and would be easy to get to. I do want to put this reunion together and my goal is to get at least 30-40% of our graduating class to attend but if the tickets are too expensive i don't see that happening.

I think that the Elks is a great place! I have been to a wedding there and it was beautiful! Keep us updated!

As to location, well I agree, the Elks isn't the greatest, but price is more important than location..... I think a smaller ticket price is more attractive than an expensive one when trying to get a good turnout! I am glad to hear the Elks is very nice and some people have been there to attest to that. :D Like I said before, PLEASE tell me if you need a hand, I'd love to help.

okay gang. The latest and greatest is that teh Elks is available for that date but we would only be able to fit 130 people on that date 11/27/04. Our turnout for the five year was about 50-60 if that, and I'm not too sure what to expect for the 10 year do any of you have any thoughts. The Gaythorne Hall in Methuen is also available for that night but it's more expensive and it doesn't provide as much as the Elks nor is it as nice. I'm hoping to keep the cost of teh tickets somewher netween $30-35 a person. The Elks is much cheaper than the Gaythorne Hall but they are both reasonable. The other costs that will be incurred is the DJ, and food, which i think will be appetizers (hot and cold).
Do any of you have any ideas on what we shoudl do at this point?

I'll give you one guess as to what my idea is: change the date... :D Course you knew that would be my answer! I would say go with a bigger hall just to be on the safe side. The ticket price is very attractive, so that is what makes me think you could possibly get the turn out you are looking for. How about an American Legion Hall or Knights of Columbus? Have you checked those out?
Once you set the date in stone let me know so I can book and buy my plane ticket, ok?

I have called other places and I've called teh Elks again to see what else is available for a bigger crowd.
I was planning on using evites as well as post cards as our way of getting the word around.
As soon as the lady from teh Elks gets back to me i will let everybody know what's going on.
Also I believe Melissa has contacted the Highschool and she's working on getting that list for us. Hopefully i'll make some progress this weekend.

Sue, I think the Elks would be great considering it has been completely redone, it is fancier than it sounds. I spoke to Missy and she had told me about the smaller hall for Saturday but what about trying for Friday night. Also she tried again to get the list but unfortnately there was a bomb threat at noon time and they were unable to get it for her but she will call again tomorrow. I have seen quite a few people and they are looking forward to having the reunion. Here are a few; Donnie M., Mike P., Trisha C., Angel and a few others. So again if you need my help just call Missy. I have alot of ideas on ways we can have a great reunion while saving everbody lots of money. D

another stumbling block........ Looks like Methuen High can only give us a list of 71 students for the class of 1994 vs. the 314 that we actually graduated with. What that means is we now have to really dig and find the people, and given the timing I'm now thinking we will have to postpone the reunion until next year. Either we plan to have it in November the Thanksgiving weekend or we do it earlier. Whatever we plan to do I want to have the hall booked well before time. I need your opinions as to when you think this should all take place. We will also need help with finding people. Given the fact that we can't obtain a complete list from the High School Melissa and I thought that dividing up the year book between a few of us would be a good place to start. We could create a list and start the research.
Unfortunately I'm off to England tonight through the middle of next week and then I have Katie Giglio's wedding next weekend so I wont have too much access to the website.
If you could give me your thoughts, I would appreciate it.

Wassup. Nice work, it seems like you are making some progress no matter what obtacles get in your way.
Also, don't sweat it too much, 74 is better than 0. That at least means you got 74 leads.

At this point, I think you and others who you have been in touch with just need to make an executive decision. There is no way you will please everyone on any date or time (or food, of drinks) you choose, so go with your gut as to what will generate the most possibility that people will be around, willing, and free to attend in the time and date you choose. Good luck. Thanksgiving weekend would be gold if we can pull it off, but that is up to you to decide.
Couple of questions. How large is your list right now after adding the 74?
Are there any other lists? Do you have anything from when you did the 5 year? If so, can we work on compiling it all into one list?
While you are in England (you may not see this til you get back) or the week after when you are at Kate Giglio's wedding, would it make sense for some of us to pick it up right where you have left off? It may be worth considering so that all the work you have already done doesn't go to waste.
Is there anyone else you've been in contact with or has a close handle on the tasks still left to accomplish?
I think right now the first step woudl be to consolidate the list.
Whoever will be doing this should consider it is not a small task and we should minimize having to edit independent text files that can then generate different versions only to have different lists grow and the need of consolodating comes up again.
I recommend you check out a Web site called:

It allows people to manage contacts and the best part is that it allows you to synchronize these contacts with Outlook which can then be used to have the same data synchronized with your personal digital assistant (PDA). This is invaluable so that we have a single repository of information we (those who will work it) can all access.
Let me know what you all think:
1) Consolidate list
2) Load contact info into easy to manage medium (Plaxo suggested)
3) Start making calls and managing (adding, removing, updating) contacts
Any volunteers for #1? It would make sense for Sue or someone she can communicate efficiently with to help with this.
Any volunteers for #2? If we are OK with Plaxo, then I will volunteer for part of it since I came up with the extra work. I could of course use as much help as possible since this will be the most monotonous.
Any volunteers for #3? This is obviously open to as many people as will volunteer since we will have one central repository, each person can take 3-4 letters of the alphabet and start calling adding and editing.
So Sue, at this point, let us know if this sounds like a good idea and we can get this divvied up a little to offload all of the work you've been having to do on your own up to now.
Essentially, the more people that get involved (once we get a central location for the info) faster and more likely we'll be able to pull this off.

Sue, I think if you get enough people to help out we can actually get this reunion on its feet this year. If you don't have the time I work @ home @ night and have all day to get things done so I have no problem helping out. My honest opinion I personally would like to have it this year. So again if you need help let Missy know and her and I can collaberate to get alot done we could probably have it done in about 2 weeks and of course anybody else that wants to help also.

i just wanted to let you know the ring that was found was a girl from class of 1991. i lost my ring as well. i called to check. just thought id let you know.
hope everyone is doing well. having the reunion sounds like fun....if you need any help just let me know...i do see quite a few people, from them coming in the salon and out and about...so if you need some people info i may be able to get what i can for you.

Well I just got back from vacation today so I am going to get in touch with Missy tonight and see what the plan is. It sounds as though we should give it a go and try to get it together for this year. It doesn't give us allot of time but I'm sure with all the help we'll be able to pull it off. Regina, you had mentioned that you could possibly get a location that would hold about 150-200 guests, is that localeted in Muthuen, and do you know if it would be available for the 11/27/04 date?

Hey Everyone,
I noticed there is alot of talk about having the reunion on the 26th, which is a Friday, and the Friday after Thanksgiving. I know some people have that day off, but for those that don't traffic is usually horrible.....Classmates that would be driving up from Boston that evening, it may be a mess. Personally, Saturday in my opinion a Saturday (27th) is the best bet! Howvever, I do realize Friday's are usually cheaper to have events!
