I was surprised to sign on and not see any posts regarding the loss of Tom Brady for the season.
Anyone have any predictions for the season without Brady?
I think they will still win the AFC East (10-6), probably be seeded #3 behind Indy and San Diego. I don't know if Cassel, with his limited experience, can get them past the first round of the playoffs, though.
Well, I thought this was
Well, I thought this was quite funny and I almost believed it until I saw it was from the Onion:
FOXBOROUGH, MA—More than 90 percent of female football fans were lost for the season on Sunday when New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady suffered a left knee injury that will require extensive treatment. The Patriots announced Monday that Brady, the 2007 NFL Most Valuable Player and arguably the NFL's most handsome man, will be placed on injured reserve, where despite being no less attractive than before his injury, he will only be partially visible for the rest of the 2008-2009 season.

Brady
Well there still on a winning streak but it's too early to tell. I think they will still make the playoffs (11-5). This is pretty much the same way Brady became the #1 QB for the Patriots when he was covering for Bledsoe! However, I know Brady will come back into the spot light next year but it gives Cassell a chance to shine and who knows although he just signed on for the other 2 years of his 4 year deal, he may go and be Brady's rival! Cassell is doing great for not starting since his last highschool debut in 1999!!!
FYI
He's not the most handsome man in the NFL by far in my opinion. Have you seen the Stetson commercials? He loses all credibility with those. YUCK
Cassell seems to be in the
Cassell seems to be in the best position of his career for sure. He must be so bummed for Brady, but excited at the opportunity (mostly excited I bet).
So did anyone add him to their Fantasy Football lineup?
