Guess not.

Re: Anyone else here get a Nintendo Wii?

We're going to be getting a wii sometime soon (hopefully). I just found out you can get original nintendo games on them...and I have been dying to play original zelda. (the best game of all time) Over the last 5 yrs or so I've gone through two original NES systems playing zelda until the crapped out on me. :P If we get one, I'll let ya know.

Until then, I'll keep rocking out on guitar hero for PS2. LOL

Anybody that hasn't played GH2 probably thinks it's the silliest thing.
However, it is so much fun.

Re: Anyone else here get a Nintendo Wii?

I know!! GH is wicked addicting. :) And I can kick my husband's a** at it, which I can't do on any other PS2 games.

I think you two would love Wii Sports that comes with the Wii.

My wife and I play it.

She whooped me this week in Bowling. I was 0 for 3 with her.
:)

I started a game with 3 strikes in a row...THREE!

"Oh there's no way you're going to beat me now!"

Sure enough, she won by 20 points.

She's too funny because she'll try to console me when I lose and tell me how I played such a good game.

Re: Anyone else here get a Nintendo Wii?

Well...buying a Wii may be unneccessary now...roland sent me links to download original zelda to my computer....JOY!!!!

You know she is doing the endzone shuffle inside; all while she spikes an imaginary bowling ball through the hand dryer on the ball return.

I do not have a Wii. . .but sometimes I do. In those instances I run to the bathroom. (C'MON! SOMEONE HAD TO SAY IT!)

I have my DS and that's good enough for me. I could Castlevania and Final Fantasy myself to death with that little hand held friend o'mine.

I tried that before, but it's not the same.

I've been wanting a DS since the New Super Mario Bros. came out.
:(
My Wii will do for now since I can barely find time and rationalize playing it for about an hour a day after the little goes to sleep. The final factor that tipped the scales for getting it was that I thought Haydee would play it with me.

Good thing I was right.
:)

By the way Kate...

You can play the original Zelda, its sequel "The Adventures of Link", Super Zelda "A Link to the Past", Zelda 64 "The Ocarina of Time", and of course the latest, "Twilight Princess". The Ocarina of Time is so far the best (aside from the original), but Twilight Princess is right up there.

If you're not a fan of the 3D look, try "A Link to the Past". Same top down perspective, but bigger, more puzzles, secrets, and a storyline.

Good stuff.

The DS is nice. . .especially since I have a MaxMedia Dock. . .which allows me to run homebrew software. . .which includes running DS roms without the cart  . Also allows for a NES and SNES emulator. I have 500+ NES games to choose from in the palm of my hand.

Also turns it into a movie/MP3 player :P

WHich is exactly what I'd do with mine if I had one.

BTW, what dimensions and size are the images with which you are having trouble uploading?

Re: Anyone else here get a Nintendo Wii?

I have one. I LOOOOOOVE it. I haven't gotten anyone else's Wii code. I wish I did, I would like to see some Wiis in the Wii parade thingy. And of course, play with someone else in their home while I'm in mine. It's probably a lot easier than trying to play tennis right next to someone....

Here's my Wii Friend Code:

1425 6418 2922 8068

Please post yours if you have one.

Then my Miis will go over to you and mingle with your Miis and vice versa.

I should go through the yearbook and make some classmate Miis.
