Post your desktop...

Here's mine.
I use Windows, I just happen to like this background.

Re: Post your desktop...

Here's mine. A laptop running Fedora Core 4 with a KDE desktop.

Re: Post your desktop...

What are your thoughts on Kubuntu?
That's my next little project.

Re: Post your desktop...

Still not as mature as I would like. I'd say give that project another year.
Inthe mean time, Fedora Core is everything you could want in a desktop or laptop system. and it's code maturity is right where it has to be. including software updates, anti-virus capabilities, and everything you could need for day to day operation.

Re: Post your desktop...

No More desktops?
C'mon, Miguel and I can't be the only ones on this site with some desktop pride. Anyone got that crazy background that a friend sent them? Do you still have that favorite wedding pic set as your screen based family photo?
POST IT.

Unless of course, you don't want everyone on the site to know that you've got so many adware and spyware and virus infections that your desktop is no longer visible.

Re: Post your desktop...

Do people know how to snap a quick picture of their desktop (without using a camera)?

1) Make it so you can only see your desktop (like us above).
2) Press the PRINT SCREEN key on your keyboard (usually near top right side).
3) Open Microsoft Paint.
4) Click EDIT-->PASTE.
5) Save the image as a JPG (bitmaps will take up a lot of space).
6) Post it up.

Now you have no excuse.
Let's see them!

Re: Post your desktop...

Nice work!
And anyone who can offer methods for grabbing screen snapshots (print screens) from other OS'es, please feel free to offer them up here.

Linux: KSnapshot does nice work under the Linux KDE desktop

Re: Post your desktop...

Thanks for the instructions. That made it very easy!

Re: Post your desktop...

Very nice background George.
Where was that taken?

Re: Post your desktop...

Thank you! It was taken downtown here in Holland, MI at Christmas time. That isn't you on your screen right? Or is it? Where was it taken?

Re: Post your desktop...

Yeah, that's me and my wife-to-be at Franconia Notch on our way back from Maine where I asked her to marry me.
There's more engagement pics on my Photo Gallery Site

Re: Post your desktop...

Here is my typical desktop showing what one of my computers do 24 hours a day non stop.. while most out there run systems to do bad things like bit torrents and the such, my systems are doing research to benift everyone out there...
