It's actually a documented sport complete with displays of personal prowess and competitions. It's appeared in commercials recently like for the Mini Cooper for example. The sport is known by several names, including, Extreme Running, or All Terrain Extreme Running, freestyle walking, freestyle running, or free running, but it was originally called by it's suburban Parisian creators, Le Parkour. Some of the videos out there for it are absolutely SICK. The sport itself comes with a disclaimer stating that you may try this but only at your own risk. In almost all the videos I've seen of people engaged in this activity, it's involved rapid climbing and decent of buildings and obstacles. Literally turning a road race into an "As the crow flies" affair. Google it. You will NOT be disappointed.
They had a segment of Le Parkour on the Today Show the other day. It was great! I can't wait till it gets more popular here in the states so I can go see it in person. Thanks for the videos miguel.
