Do you think people would be upset if I put up some old pics I have of them in HS? I haven't talked to any of them in years, so I don't know how they'd feel about it. I have some Prom pictures and Class day pictures I'd like to share here, but I don't want to upset anyone. Thoughts? :?

Hey Kerri,
I've asked myself the same question! I personally think it's better to get some folks permission first, if you still talk to them. (I've been wanting to post pics of Jeff and Liz but I haven't asked them yet) It's kind of hard though if you don't still keep in touch with them! The photos I've posted have either been with another site member, or in the public domain (old newspapers, etc.)
I think it's best to err on the side of caution, some folks might get really upset if there are pictures of them floating around in cyberspace.
Just my thoughts.

Hey Katevt, I thought the same thing, but I wanted opinions. :wink: I'll post what I have of myself (yuck) and hope to run into some of them one day and see what they think. The pictures aren't embarassing or anything, but you never know how people may feel about it. Thanks for the advice! :D

If I had pictures of any of you I would post them without permission. And not to upset anyone but because I would look at it like family. Everyone looks back on photos of themselves and winces. But guess what, we all went through high school together. We have the memories!
I say just put them up.

Greta, you're too funny. Ok, so that's one yes and one no. I guess I'll go with the majority vote, so I hope more people respond to this post! lol. I personally wouldn't care...as long as the picture was flattering. lol I think everyone looked good in these pictures... And you do need a membership to view them, so it's not like it's out on Google or anything. Ok, so now I'm still debating. Keep the responses coming!

I think, from a legal perspective, if they consented to the photo, they consented to your use of it, provided it's not used injurously or commercially....but I don't know for sure
we do a lot of photo release forms (we use them in non-profit publications and such) where I work so that's why I'm kind of cautious

I think what I'lll end up doing is post them with a caption stating that if they do not want their image posted, to contact me via email or PM and I will remove their image. I think that's the best solution. Now...I just need to scan them and pray my ISP cooperates during the upload! lol. Technology! :roll:

I don't know, Roel Rynders had the worst picture of me ever. I hope he brought it back to Belgium and burned it!! :lol:

I don't know Kate. I saw some pretty bad pictures while I was putting the yearbook together. Most of them got shredded, but I believe some of them may have escaped...I'm not really sure. :twisted:

Well of course Roland woudl take that stand. I was under the impression that normal phtography couldn't capture Roland's image back in High School.

There were other contributing factors that helped people to arrive at the "undead" declaration. Not the least of which was the way you managed to make some of the more pompous faculty members at MHS quake in their collective boots.

Back to the topic at hand.... I have several pictures that will be posted soon MUWHAHAHA Just went through some old boxes at my mum's BE PREPARED LOL
My opinion is if you can get their permission then you should try, if not, as stated prior, they consented to the picture 8,9,10 years ago and o swell.
POST EM......I mean there are things I wore in HS that I am sure I do not want to see but that WAS in HS. LOL it's all in fun.
YAY it's fun to think back and remember things as they were.

I went to my mom's house for dinner and I found my old photo albums in pristine condition, it's really on now.
