I HIGHLY doubt it Miguel. Don't you think we would have heard alot more about it? I would go so far as to say it would have been on the news.
Rap lived down the street from me and I remember one time Barry Todd brought me to his house to have dinner and watch a movie which at first I thought was really weird. But he seemed like a good guy and he also took Chris (forget his last name) in when he had to leave his mom.
Rap was cool right? I never had him... I had big daddy burton. Please somebody tell us that Rap is no criminal.

Yeah that was my general impression of the guy, so I must admit I am a little confused about the statement.
Coming from Rappa I would say it was just his warped sense of humor that nobody gets at times. I did send him a PM to tell him he better get on here to back up his story or tell people he was just joking.
OK I think I found what he was talking about. I did a Yahoo search and this is what I came up with. It's an article from the Tribune. Read the WHOLE thing and you might see that it is not the same Mr. Rap that we all know. I'm not sure, there are connections; Methuen resident & teacher. But maybe because I don't think 50 is old anymore look at how old this Mr. Rap is and I think that our Mr.Rap was older. Just read it and see what you all think.

Teacher is arrested on drug charge
By Mark E. Vogler
Eagle-Tribune Writer
An Andover school teacher has been suspended following his arrest on drug charges Wednesday night in Lawrence.
Gene D. Rapisardi, 47, 39 Spring Valley Road, Methuen, was charged with possession of crack cocaine after he was seen walking to his car with a reputed prostitute in a neighborhood known for heavy drug activity, according to Lawrence police.
Andover Schools Superintendent Richard E. Neal said he placed the West Middle School teacher on paid leave yesterday, pending the outcome of his court case.
''It's all a big misunderstanding,'' Mr. Rapisardi told a reporter last night, before hanging up his telephone after being reached at his Methuen home.
But the Lawrence police officer who arrested Mr. Rapisardi said the teacher tried to get rid of the cocaine before he got caught, then pleaded for ''a break'' so he would not lose his teaching job.
''It's not a 'misunderstanding' when you have crack cocaine on you and you're seen getting in your car with a hooker,'' said Lawrence Police Officer Joseph A. Beaulieu.
''He said he was an Andover school teacher for 25 years and he gave me this story that it was his first time down here. If this is your first time down here, you don't just find Oxford and Bedford streets and happen to run into one of the biggest crack houses in the city,'' he said.
''He said he messed up and pleaded for a break. He asked me to let him go because he was going to lose his job. To me, he's an eighth-grade school teacher (and) he was not setting a good example for his kids,'' he said.
Officer Beaulieu and Officer John D. Fornesi were on patrol at 8 p.m. Wednesday when they recognized a prostitute walking with a man toward a car parked at Oxford and Bedford streets.
Police pulled alongside the car and asked the man what he was doing. The man acted nervous and put a hand in his pocket as he was questioned by police, according to Officer Beaulieu.
''When I asked him to take his hand out of his pocket, he threw something on the ground. He tried to get rid of it. It turned out to be crack,'' said the officer.

3rd chance for Andover teacher
By Cathleen Crowley
Eagle-Tribune Writer
ANDOVER -- Andover middle school teacher Gene D. Rapisardi is leaving town.
The school teacher avoided guilty convictions on drug and drunken driving charges yesterday, as long as he stays out of trouble for a year.
''He plans to move out of state and start a new life with his fiancee,'' said his lawyer Frederick ''Ted'' M. Fairburn.
Schools Superintendent Claudia L. Bach said Mr. Rapisardi remains on paid leave as of last night, and said she was ''amazed'' when she heard of the latest developments.
In May, police found Mr. Rapisardi, 48, 39 Spring Valley Road, Methuen, in Lawrence with a known prostitute. When police approached him, Mr. Rapisardi tossed away a bag of crack cocaine. He was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine.
He received a general continuance on the drug charge, which meant he agreed there was enough evidence to find him guilty, but the charge would be dropped if he stayed out of trouble for six months.
A month later, state police pulled over Mr. Rapisardi for speeding on Route 28 in Methuen.
The trooper said at first Mr. Rapisardi only looked straight ahead and would not talk. Then Mr. Rapisardi became verbally abusive and the trooper smelled alcohol.
Mr. Rapisardi failed the field sobriety test and was arrested for drunken driving, which automatically meant he would face the cocaine charge again.
Mr. Fairburn said the day before Mr. Rapisardi was charged with drunken driving, Andover school officials told him they were still not sure if he would get his job back.
Mr. Rapisardi was put on paid leave when he was arrested in Lawrence. When the charge was continued, Mr. Rapisardi began negotiating to get his job back.
But he was distraught after finding that Andover officials were still undecided, Mr. Fairburn said.
Yesterday, Judge Allen J. Jarasites gave Mr. Rapisardi another chance.
Both the cocaine and drunken driving charges were continued without finding for a year. This time, Mr. Rapisardi has to stay out of trouble for a year and the charges will be dismissed. Throughout the year, he will be randomly tested for drugs.
But Mr. Rapisardi, who has taught fo 26 years, has given up on getting his Andover teaching job back.
''This one bad mistake has taken on a life of its own,'' Mr. Fairburn said. ''I'm not sure if there is a future for him in the Andover school system.''
Dr. Bach has had no conversations with Mr. Rapisardi about his arrest or court dates. She plans to talk to him at some point.
''I'm obviously very interested in this news and we will be looking at this new information very carefully,'' Dr. Bach said.
I also found this follow up! I still don't know if this is the right Mr.Rap. This one is an Andover teach of many years. It can't be the same.
Nice find George.
You're the man.
However, based on our limited knowledge, the only thing that connects our Mr. Rap are the last name (I don't know his first name), his teaching career, and his Methuen residence.
The police mention he said the suspect mentioned being an Andover teacher for 25 years, that right there would rule him out.
So far this is still inconclusive, but it would explain our possible confusion and maybe a case of mistaken identity.
Actually, according to my yearbook, his first name is Frank, though for some reason I thought it was Gino, and not Gene like in the newspaper article. lets put this one to rest ehh.
Rappa
It is a different Mr. Rap, Although after we graduated he came to my house for my graduation bash. He and my old man drank an entire bottle of some expensive liquor and we had to drive him home. Last I heard he was out on disibilty due to a back injury. He is a really nice guy.
I love Mr. Rap!!!! He was an awesome teacher. Just and FYI
Uncle Rap died I think back in January or something. He wasn't doing well at all. He came into my work sometimes. I work at Thwaites Market, in Methuen. Have a good day everyone!
Just a little F.Y.I. the Mr. Rap they are talking about in the article is MHS teacher Frank Raps brother. His brother is a great guy that did a dumb thing. Our Mr Rap has always had kids in and out of his house. The two Rap brothers took a group of us to Mexico (in 88") for the senior class trip. I was a junior at the time. As you can imagine there was a great time to be had. I will NEVER forget that trip. I don't think they will ever be allowed to do that again. I think the supervisors needed supervisors :D

Mr. Fitz was the man!

Mr Rap lives on Edgewood Terrace. Definitely not the MHS Mr Rap. I have lived down the street from him since I was 8. Not him. Nice try though.
Re: mr. rapisardi
Good, I'm glad we cleared that up. Does anyone know what he's doing now? I can't find him on MHS's web site.
Re: mr. rapisardi
Cool.
Thanks for the info.l
Re: mr. rapisardi
Mr. Rap was definitely cool to those he liked, but insulted and avoided those he didnt.
