Mrs. Isbister (Mrs. I)

Mrs. I was one of the best teachers without a doubt. Anyone agree with me?

I had limited interaction with her though DC Club and other stuff. She was cool. Now that I think about it, I wish I had taken one of her art classes. I wish I had taken more art classes in general back then, so I take some now.

I loved Mrs. Isbister!!! I graduated in 1991. I took many of her art classes. She really inspired me and helped me to improve my techniques. I, now work as an artist and I have her to thank. I would love to contact her. Does anyone know if she is still at MHS...or how to get in touch with her?
D
thanks!

She is no longer at MHS.
Hasn't been for a while, I think she is in the southeast region of the US.

You can reach her through here.

Her username is:

Enjoy.

I agree with all of you. I took Photography and loved it. She is very easy going and had that free spirited soul that just made you want to be just like her.

She sure is a very inspirational teacher.

God Bless her!!

Re: Mrs. Isbister (Mrs. I)

Mrs. I was my fav teacher by far! I spent COUNTLESS hours in the art room (while I was supposed to be in other classes). It's good to see that other people thought as highly of her as I did!

Re: Mrs. Isbister (Mrs. I)

Yeah she was def my favorite! she's the best ever....

Re: Mrs. Isbister (Mrs. I)

Mrs Izbister is an awesome teacher. I had her for study hall freshman year and sopgmore year and child dev 1 & 2 with an ind study for photography class.

Mrs Izz was more than just a teacher. My senior year was really a bad time in my life, my Dad was a drunk and we fought everyday, it sucked. Mrs Izz was always there to pull me back from the edge of the cliff of life, that I was ready to jump off of. Mrs Izz was there for me and many other students that no one else noticed was falling.

Re: Mrs. Isbister (Mrs. I)

Yeah I liked her class a lot. It was too bad that so many took her class as a blow-off. It could have been really wonderful if it wasn't for that.

Re: Mrs. Isbister (Mrs. I)

Without a doubt, worst teacher I've ever had. Everyone raved about her all the time so I took her photography class and she was rotten to me. I tried so hard to please her but by November I said F-that and let her comments slip.

I remembered the study periods with her too...
Study period is a thing of the past pretty much what all they do today..
not all that productive getting stuck on 2 study periods most days.

I agree with most people. She is a GREAT person. Last time I talked to her I believe it was around 2002-2003. I was working in CT at the time and that is how I remember. I took several art classes with her and I enjoyed them a lot. She was more than just a teacher to me, she was my mentor for the years I was at MHS. I will try to dig up through my emails to see if I can find her email address just in case anyone would like to drop her a line.
